Struggling with reactivity or tricky walks?
You’re not alone.
Reactivity can feel isolating and exhausting.
Every walk becomes a balancing act, scanning the horizon for triggers, gripping the lead a little tighter, and wondering if today will be better or worse than the last.
It’s hard not to feel like you’re doing something wrong.
You’d love to enjoy peaceful walks again, the kind where you can breathe, take in the view, and actually enjoy being out together.
But instead, you’re stuck in management mode, constantly avoiding people, dogs or situations that might set your dog off, and feeling like things will never change.
Our 1:1 behaviour programmes take the frustration and guesswork out of training.
With calm, practical guidance and steady support between sessions, we’ll help you swap stress for structure and confusion for clarity.

"Kya has now had 4 one to one training sessions with Laura & Luke. We're really chuffed with how she's doing with our target skills of loose lead walking & recall.
Laura & Luke have loads of experience to share & really want the best for their canine & human students. Kya loves her sessions & has been quick to learn new skills. Highly recommended."

FAQ
I work Monday to Friday, can I still book sessions?
Absolutely! We offer evening and Saturday slots so your sessions fit around your schedule.
Where are sessions held?
That depends on your dog. We might start somewhere quiet before progressing to your regular walks. The goal is to help your dog feel confident in the real world.
How many sessions will I need?
Consistency is the key ingredient. The more you practise, the faster you’ll see results, but every dog is different. We also offer top-up sessions once your programme finishes to keep your progress on track.
How much does it cost?
We’ll chat about pricing during your free consultation call. Every dog and situation is different, and this helps us recommend the most effective option for your goals.
What is the difference between training and behaviour?
Training focuses on teaching your dog specific skills and responses like recall, loose lead walking, or settling calmly on a mat.
Behaviour work looks deeper at why your dog is struggling, such as fear, frustration, or anxiety, and helps change how they feel as well as how they act.
At Dog’s Purpose, we often combine both, because when you support the emotion and the skill, lasting change happens.
What dog behaviours can you help with?
We work with a wide range of behaviour challenges, from reactivity and fear-based aggression to separation anxiety, overexcitement, resource guarding and more.
Whether your dog barks, lunges, struggles to settle, or finds everyday life overwhelming, we’ll help you understand what’s driving the behaviour and create a calm, practical plan to support real progress.
What methods does Dog's Purpose use?
We only use kind, science-based, reward-focused methods that help dogs feel safe, understood and confident.
Our approach is rooted in positive reinforcement and choice-led learning which means no punishment, fear, or force.
Every dog is treated as an individual, and we’ll work with you to find gentle, effective strategies that create lasting change.
What if I need more sessions?
Every dog, and every situation is different, so some behaviours take longer to work through than others.
After your initial session, we’ll talk honestly about your dog’s progress and what ongoing support might help.
Many clients choose a follow-up package or regular check-ins to keep momentum and confidence building at a comfortable pace for both ends of the lead.
